Collection of Information From Website Users

As you browse our websites, you are not required to provide any personal information such as your name, address or credit card information unless you specifically request materials or create a user account. PCTEL does, however, track your activity (including which pages you view and the period of viewing) on our website through the use of cookie technology. We also use third-party software in order to aggregate and measure the number of visits, the average time spent on the PCTEL website, the pages viewed, and the like. The use of cookies and third-party software allows us to improve your individual user experience while visiting our websites, and to improve our ability to deliver useful information about PCTEL products and services to you. As a result of our use of cookies and third-party software, we may be able to identify you and/or your company through your IP address. We do not sell or otherwise share this information with any other companies except PCTEL subsidiaries. The information gathered from cookies and third-party software will be used for PCTEL’s marketing purposes only, including but not limited to targeted emails, email blasts, live chat and telephone calls.

“Cookies,” as used herein, refers to files sent by web servers to web browsers, which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Each web browser software application provides tools that allow individual users to control cookies at the user level. Through your web browser, you may choose to receive an alert when cookies are being received, or you may completely block cookies while visiting our websites by using the privacy settings of your website browser software.
