PCTEL’s Quality Management Systems Achieve ISO 9001:2015 Certification

July 10, 2018

BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 10, 2018-- PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical TELecom solutions, announced that its Quality Management Systems have satisfied requirements for certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognized standard for quality management systems. The company’s facilities in Bloomingdale, Illinois; Germantown, Maryland; and Tianjin, China each passed independent audits to upgrade their certification from the previous ISO 9001:2008 standard.

ISO 9001 certification requires that a company make continuous improvements to its system while paying close attention to evolving customer needs. The new standard emphasizes risk management and requires greater involvement from high-level management.

“PCTEL’s successful transition to the new ISO standard reflects our companywide commitment to quality,” said David Neumann, PCTEL’s CEO. “Our customers come to us because we consistently deliver reliable solutions to complex engineering problems,” added Neumann.

PCTEL’s ISO 9001:2015 certifications cover the company’s Quality Management Systems for the design, manufacturing, and sale of electronic test equipment and antenna products for the wireless industry. The ISO 9001:2015 certifications are currently effective for Germantown and Tianjin. Certification to the new standard will become effective for PCTEL’s Bloomingdale operations on September 15, 2018 (upon expiration of Bloomingdale’s existing ISO 9001:2008 certification).
